“My artwork interprets the life of an epileptic,” said student artist Durek Vukusich. “The self-portraits and other images narrate personal experiences with absence and tonic-clonic seizures, memory loss, and the angst at heart. Some of my artwork uses a combination of layered imagery in charcoal, pastel, and other tonal media over transparent and opaque surfaces; others are more texturally driven. The goal of my work is to allow the viewer the opportunity to experience what they may not.”

PVCC students interested in art, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, design, movies, digital art and  video are welcome to participate in PVCC’s Partners in Art Club. This club is designed to offer all PVCC students a forum for support and artistic opportunities in the arts. Members have the opportunity to share artistic ideas in a social setting, to become more involved in the various campus arts programs, and to establish a cultural and artistic voice at PVCC.  Students become members by regular attendance to the monthly meetings and participation in the community service activities. Nathan Feller is the faculty advisor and Lauren Prentice is the club president.
