The 2011-2012 Film Festival at PVCC continues its celebration of women Spring Semester 2012 with the free screening of “Sophie Scholl: The Final Days,” a dramatization of the last days of one of the most famous members of the non-violent German World War II anti-Nazi resistance movement, White Rose
Sponsored by the PVCC Center for International Studies, the film festival celebrates “Women in Film” with a selection of international comedies and dramas about women. The film festival presents cinema as a window onto the richness of our diverse world and our shared humanity and makes entertainment educational and education entertaining. Acclaimed films from around the world are shown to evoke emotion, open discussion and explore cultural diversity and global issues through the imagery of film. These films will be show on Wednesdays in the Center for the Performing Arts Mainstage Theatre at 34th Street and Union Hills. Admission to all films and parking are free.
