Phi Theta Kappa is looking for a few good students to join the official honor society for American’s two-year colleges. To join, you must be have 12 or more credit hours of 100-level coursework or higher and be enrolled in six credit hours with a cumulative 3.4 GPA.
Why join? In addition to the college camaraderie, Phi Theta Kappa members have access to more than $37 million in scholarships. PTK members are empowered to succeed, stay in college and continue their education. They learn effective written and oral communications, leadership skills, critical thinking, time management and teamwork.
PVCC’s Alpha Omnicron Chi Chapter meets at 2 p.m. every Wednesday. Upcoming events include a Bowling Bash on Sept. 14, Orientation on Sept. 12 & 19, and the Induction Ceremony Sept. 26.
