Beginning Friday, Sept. 21, the north entrance of the Kranitz Student Center will be closed as construction begins on Phase III of the KSC Renovation Project.
The building will be accessible from the south entrances only. To ease access to those entrances, the new walkway from the north parking lot, along the east wall of A building, has been opened.
The KSC is undergoing a major transformation to create a new “front door” welcoming students to a friendly, one-stop shop for enrollment, advising and financial aid services. The project involves remodeling approximately 59,500 square feet and constructing an additional 11,500 square feet, including a new Welcome Center and a 4,000-square-foot community room for meetings and public events. SmithGroup architects designed the entrance to eliminate the breezeway between KSC and A buildings and create a more identifiable campus entrance.
The 2004 General Obligation Bonds fund these new construction and remodeling projects. Watch for construction updates in the PVCC Points of Pride blog at www.pvpride.blog.pvc.maricopa.edu.
