I need to do research for my class. Where do I start?
Do you have the books in my recommended reading list?
How do I do citations in my research paper?
Get the help you need, when you need it! The librarians in the Buxton Library at Paradise Valley Community College are available to help students with a variety of reference questions in person, on the phone, online and by text to help alleviate stress and anxiety of academic preparation and research.
For the convenience of busy students, PVCC also offers Chat 24/7 with a Librarian, a free web-based reference service where you and the librarian send instant messages back and forth and share computer screens. You work together to get answers to your questions, in real time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Check out this video to get started. An average session takes approximately 15 minutes, depending on the complexity of your question. Chat en Español.

Not near a computer? Try Text-a-Librarian! Text pvcclib to 66746 and an experienced librarian will research your question and reply. Standard messaging rates apply. Text-a-Librarian hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Of course, you can always stop by the library in the E Building Learning Resource complex for help in person, or call 602-787-7200.
