Paradise Valley Community College’s extensive variety of spring semester classes will appeal to just about anyone. Choose from hundreds of college transfer classes from math to English, arts to sciences, and business to performing arts. Or, indulge your inner Hobbit in ENH 245 – Tolkien & Lewis: Battling Modernism (3 credits); learn how to produce video broadcasts in JRN 212 – Broadcast Writing (3 cr); go all CSI Phoenix in PSY 267 – Introduction to Forensic Psychology (3 cr); discover the athlete mentality in PSY 215 – Introduction to Sports Psychology; or tell your own story in ENH 294 - Multicultural Folktales (3 cr), taught by 2012 Professor of the Year, Dr. Lois Roma-Deeley.
Registration is underway for the spring 2013 semester, which begins Jan. 12. Credit classes are offered on campus, online, or as a hybrid of both with flexible schedules to accommodate the needs of students and make it easier to fit college into busy lives. Classes are offered at the Union Hills campus, 18401 N. 32nd St., and at PVCC Black Mountain, 34250 N. 60th St., in north Scottsdale. Tuition is affordable at just $76 per credit hour for Maricopa County residents and students can apply for financial aid or scholarships at www.paradisevalley.edu/finaid/.
