Project Civil Discourse Presents: The Wisdom of Confucius: Harmony in Learning Feb. 20

How does the harmony of learning embrace a wooden door, a human heart and a silk rope?

To discover the answer to this riddle, come to “The Wisdom of Confucius: Harmony in Learning,” a free participatory discussion led by PVCC Fulbright Scholar in Residence Dr. Mei-Ling Wong, Noon to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the Buxton Library on the Union Hills campus at Paradise Valley Community College, 18401 N. 32nd St., Phoenix.

Confucius was revered for his wisdom, discipline and committed life of virtue, yet working with leaders who lacked moral order forced him on a 13-year quest to find and train dignitaries who would promote social stability through civility, courtesy, humility and trust.

Dr. Wong presents a three-part series that focuses on these virtues as we bridge Eastern sensibilities to Western daily living.
